Introduction

The National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay) opened on 5 November 2001 and was originally called Cultural University. It changed its name to National University of Arts and Culture in 28 November 2007 and was specified as the number one university.

National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay) is located in Mandalay division, Patheingyi Township, Ohnchaw Shawesaryan Pagoda Street, between the western part of mile post (0/4) and (1/1), on an area of 41.35 acres. The university teaches literature and arts and grants bachelor of art diplomas and honors to students attending the four-year program. Since the 2005-2006 academic year, there is also the possibility to study for five years and obtain a post-graduate diploma. A total of 168 staff members are involved. In the 2015-2016 academic year, 261 students were enrolled.

There is one management building, fifteen teaching buildings, and twelve buildings for staff housing.

Major Activities

National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay) grants a bachelor of art (BA) to four- year students who may study dramatic art, music, painting, carving, film and drama.
