In the structure of the UC of Tajikistan, there are several sections, one of which – the section of musicology is a purely scientific structure. Over the last 80 years, scholars – members of the Composers’ Union- created and published about 30 monographs, collections of articles, and separate brochures on the life and work of Tajik composers. The works of Tajik composers were performed far outside Tajikistan and also were staged on the stage of other theaters.
The scientific heritage of musicologists in Tajikistan has been translated into many foreign languages. The members of the Union work for the implementation of cultural policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, considering the scientific and practical needs of culture and art, along with composing music and other musicological compositions. They also carry out research work on historical and theoretical issues of national art to improve the methodological foundations of scientific research.
